Inline Lever/Lever
A lever/lever handle is a contemporary door handle designed to work with new or replacement doors. This style of handle is available in various designs and finishes. This handle is offered by several manufacturers, including Avocet ERA Fullex Hoppe Mila Millenco Yale.

The door handles of uPVC/Composite are constructed of durable materials and are ideal for doors with multi-point locks that require a strong design. The handles are inline, and they use the same screws and spindle to fix them. They can be easily installed on new or existing uPVC/Composite doors.
The design of the sprung lever allows the handle to be positioned and angled for comfortable operation and is suitable for all users. The handle has been tested for endurance up to 200,000 cycles, this allows for the assurance of the quality of the finish and performance of the handle over time. The sprung lever can also be shortened to fit more locks. This is especially useful for narrower door frames where the cylinder is located further back. A lever that is shorter is an excellent option for doors where the latch could be operated by a thumb turn on the inside.
Lever Pad
A Lever Pad upvc door handle operates differently than lever handles on doors. These handles are operated by one spindle, or two spindles, either inline or offset. They are typically used on UPVC double glazed doors and come in many variations & styles.
The handles have been tested to the minimum of 200k cycles and are available in a variety of finishes including White and Silver, as well as Chrome & Gold. The finish is BS EN 1670 Grade 5 and is resistant to corrosion. This gives the handle the best performance and durability to serve its intended use.
All UPVC levers for handles include a spindle and screws and can be mounted on the uPVC door. The 211mm backplate fixing centres allow for a larger size of handle which is often a benefit when replacing a faulty or worn multi-point door lock mechanism. It is essential to match the dimensions of the PZ for both the multipoint lock and the uPVC doors when selecting the replacement UPVC spindle and handle. This measurement is often called the handle centre or 'cylinder centres which is a crucial aspect in ensuring that you have the right handles.
When you have the right PZ size you will then have to ensure that the handle lever pads and push pads are in a appropriate shape to accommodate the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant handles that you need for your doors. These are typically rectangular or round in shape, with an internal lever as well as an external push pad.
The majority of UPVC Lever Pads that we offer are sprung. This means that they return to a horizontal position when not being used instead of hanging and possibly sticking in the frame. Euro Cylinder
Cylinder locks are found on uPVC and other types of doors. They work by using a key that unlock a cylinder case that then reveals pins which can be aligned with the pins in the lock body and allowing them to turn a revolving cam, thus opening the door. Euro cylinders can be equipped with up to six pins, with external and internal doors generally having different levels of security.
Selecting the right cylinder for your needs is vitally important; this depends on the way your door and handle are utilized. External doors, for instance are required to be fitted with cylinders with greater security while internal doors can be secured with an ordinary cylinder. Additionally, certain cylinders have extra features which can enhance security even more, like anti-drill or anti-bump properties.
A euro cylinder must be measured accurately to ensure it's the correct size for your door. The cylinder should be measured from the hole for fixing screws in the middle to the end of the cylinder including the thumb turn if you have one. If you are unable measure it with the lock in position, you can take it out of it. It is important to avoid having a cylinder that extends beyond the handle or escutcheon. This can make it susceptible to lock snapping attacks.
Most newer cylinders have been designed with anti-drill and bump resistance features that are built into their design. They are designed to decrease the chances of an attack by causing the cylinder to rotate in an opposite direction. This can help to deflect attacks and keep your door safe.
Certain cylinders are constructed to withstand snapping. This is a common attack on cylinders. A specific tool is used to break the lock's break line and then the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is a quicker and easier way to gain access than using the use of a multipoint locking system. It also leaves less evidence of the break-in which can hinder insurance claims.
Spring Cassette
The spring cassette is situated in the base plate of your door handle. It provides a sprung solution to help return your multipoint lock handles back to their resting position after use. In the past, a lot of these types of handle did not have a spring built into them, and without it they tend to droop or 'drop' once the locking mechanism is removed. This component is the best way to solve this issue. It also stops your upvc door from becoming stuck in the closed or open position, as they aren't easy to close manually.
These spring cassettes were created to be used with a spring multipoint locks. They will not fit handles that aren't sprung and you'll have to cut a hole in your backplate in order for them to fit.
